Digital Printing
Digital Printing
Unlike offset printing, digital printing requires no metal plates or rubber blankets. Instead, a digital-based image is printed directly onto a variety of papers or card stocks.
Rather than using the four-color process, digital printing uses three colors, red, green, and blue (RGB). The resulting color prints are not as exact a color match as provided by offset printing. However, digital printing is fast and well suited to print lots of single sheets and small batches that would be impossible cost wise with offset printing.
Advantages of Digital Printing
- No setup and fast printing allow quick turnaround
- Low-cost printing affordable for most people
- Ideal for small-batch printing
- Far more eco-friendly than offset printing
